I began my writing journey with poetry. Poetry has always been my way of bleeding out my internal conflicts, and often inspire short stories or novels. I wrote my first poems when I was in Middle School and have continued writing ever since. At the time, I had gone through something difficult and pretty traumatic, I found that words helped me extract the darkness within and analyze what I was feeling. Poetry has a way of expressing emotional conflict in a more artistically chaotic lens that novel writing often lacks; however, they both are methods of creative release that I now rely on emotionally and physically.
